Description

The Community Schools Department has two (2) full-time ( FTE), 10-month vacancies for a Central Office Resource Teacher.

The Central Office Resource Teacher will be required to support Community School strategy implementation at 5 school sites. Additionally, the Central Office Resource Teacher will support in building structures and processes for strategy implementation. Adult coaching will be required in strategy implementation, instruction, collaborative decision-making, and team-orientation. Traveling is required to designated sites and the Instructional Media Center (IMC).

Examples of Duties

The Central Office Resource Teacher's duties include :

• Facilitation of meetings with Community School Site Coaches, Community School Site Coordinators, and administrators at Community Schools
• Creating and leading professional learnings
• Being highly proficient with Google Suite
• Being highly proficient in conflict resolution
• Deep understanding of authentic collaborative leadership

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a valid California Multiple Subject Credential or any Single Subject Credential. Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting.

Classroom teaching experience; experience at a Community School is preferred. Experience with Project Based Learning and / or Community Based Learning is recommended.
