Job Title : Casual Lifeguard / Instructor

Reports To : Recreation Coordinator
Hours of Work : Casual employment with hours determined as per staffing & program requirements.
Hourly Wage : $18.20 - $24.26 per hour based on certifications as per the IBEW Collective Agreement; all other benefits as per ESA.
Job Summary
Minimum age : 15 years.
Lifeguard : Use trained lifeguard techniques to effectively supervise swimmers, prevent aquatic injury, enforce rules to patrons and obtain emergency medical assistance as required.
Instructor : Instruct children and adults in swimming skills and water safety knowledge; teach entry‑level leadership courses to prepare candidates for increasingly complex rescue situations.
Position Requirements
Successful applicants, 18 years of age or older, must obtain and submit a clean Criminal Background / Vulnerable Sector check at their own expense prior to their start date.
