Intent of the process

This inventory will be used for various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, specified period, assignment, secondment). Applicants who meet the essential qualifications will have their application included in the inventory for this ongoing selection process. As positions become available, the applicants meeting the initial screening requirements identified by the hiring manager may be contacted and referred for consideration. EDUCATION

Graduation with an Occupational Therapy (OT) degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION

Eligible for an unrestricted license to practice as an occupational therapist in a province or territory of Canada.

EXPERIENCE

EX1 : Significant

Sufficiency of experience may be determined by the Canadian Forces Health Services Group Credentialing Committee OR Professional Technical Network.

EX2. Experience as an occupational therapist in providing rehabilitation services to adult patients with a broad variety of physical conditions.

EX3. Experience in using outcome measures to assess physical, cognitive, affective, and psychosocial functioning.

EX4. Experience in developing individualized treatment plans with occupational performance goals.

EX5. Experience working in an interdisciplinary clinical setting.

AEX1. Experience working with Canadian Armed Forces members or public safety personnel.

AEX2. Experience working with severely impaired patients with physical and mental health comorbidities to address safety and independence.

Continuous registration, in good standing, with the provincial or territory regulatory body responsible for regulating the profession of occupational therapy in which employment is maintained.

Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.
