Island Lake Lodge is seeking a motivated individual to join our Maintenance team in the full-time summer position of Maintenance Helper. The ideal candidate is organized, has strong time management and active listening skills, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with routine maintenance tasks and ongoing projects
Support the upkeep of facilities and grounds as directed, including sanding and staining buildings and furniture, yard work, waste management, guest parking monitoring, and wildlife control
Support Operations with duties such as driving shuttles and SxS vehicles, freight pickups and deliveries, washing company vehicles, and other tasks as required
Assist with wedding and event setup and teardown
Provide support to other departments as needed
Job Requirements:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs (23 kg) or more
Valid BC driver’s license with a safe driving record
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Enjoy working in mountainous environments in all weather conditions
Preference will be given to applicants who:
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Are handy, resourceful, and eager to learn
Hold a valid Class 4 driver’s license
