Job description

We’re seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to lead and grow our Regenerative Property Design (RPD) 5th  World  team. This leader will build and expand the RPD business across North America, focusing on team building, operational excellence, and growth. With a proven track record in startup or small business environments with some experience at scale, this leader will manage all aspects of RPD’s P&L, set growth targets, implement complex project management frameworks, and deliver exceptional results. They should understand  operational requirements, have experience developing high-performance teams, and know how to scale a service  business effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a growth strategy to scale RPD services across North America, establishing and achieving business and revenue goals.
  • Team Building and Development : Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing, diverse RPD team that shares a commitment to innovation and impact.
  • P&L and Budget Management : Own and manage the P&L for the RPD team, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and ensuring profitable growth.
  • Operational Excellence : Implement efficient and scalable operational processes, balancing minimum operational requirements with growth and expansion needs.
  • Target Setting and Achievement : Define key performance metrics and milestones, setting ambitious yet achievable targets for business and team success.

  • Stakeholder Satisfaction : Positive client feedback, repeat business, and successful partnerships contributing to the RPD team’s success.
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Relations : Work with Business Development to cultivate relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to drive RPD’s market presence and reputation.
  • Market Expansion : Identify new market opportunities and create strategies to extend RPD’s reach across Canada and North America.
  • Product and Service Innovation : Collaborate with product and marketing teams to enhance RPD service and ensure offerings remain cutting-edge and aligned with client needs.
  • Continuous Improvement : Regularly assess and optimize team performance, business processes, and customer experience.
  • Requirements

  • Experience : 8+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in a General Manager, Business Leader, or comparable role within a startup or small business environment, with a proven track record of scaling teams and driving business growth.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset : Experience launching, building, and growing new business ventures, ideally in a consulting or similar environment.
  • P&L Management : Strong understanding of financial metrics and proven ability to manage budgets and profitability.
  • Operations and Process Development : Ability to identify, implement, and optimize essential operational processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Market and Business Strategy : Experience expanding market reach and developing strategies to capture new growth opportunities.

  • Competitive base salary- $ 120,000 - $150,000 CDN
