General Duty Cardiology Technologist

Position Overview

Reporting to the Program Team Manager, Cardiac Diagnostics and Cardiac Clinics, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the General Duty Cardiology Technologist is responsible for

• Performing electrocardiograms.
• Carrying out peer / trainee functional instruction.
• Performing graded exercise tests (GXT).
• Performing Holter hook-ups and analysis.
• And performing other related duties as assigned.

Individual work assignments of staff within / between the areas that comprise the Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics Department (i.e., EKG, Holter and Stress Lab) will vary based on individual skills sets and staffing levels required to provide safe, quality patient care. Staff will receive the appropriate orientation and training as required based on their work assignment(s).

Experience

Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)

NOTE : Applicants who obtained their certification by CSCT at the advanced level prior to 1995 and are currently still certified at the advanced level will be deemed to meet the above qualification requirements.
