Key Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Assemble and weld steel and aluminum structures using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings to determine the appropriate welding techniques.
- Adhere to project instructions and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate torches, grinders, and welding machines effectively.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
- Interpret welding process specifications.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- Determine the weldability of materials.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
Requirements:
- Must be in Canada.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
