As the Senior Accountant, Revenue at 7shifts, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our revenue accounting environment. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll leverage your expertise to handle monthly close activities, drive revenue recognition in NetSuite, and prepare detailed accounting policy memos under IFRS 15. Your attention to detail, proficiency in analytics tools, and strong problem-solving skills will help drive success and improvement to our revenue accounting operations.

What you’ll do :
- Perform monthly close activities including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Own the monthly revenue recognition process in Netsuite
- Research, interpret, and prepare accounting policy memos to support the accounting treatment for revenue under IFRS 15
- Partner with internal stakeholders to track and record transactions relating to revenue-sharing arrangements
- Oversee and manage sales tax compliance within Avalara
- Develop and maintain up-to-date internal control and process documentation
- Produce quarterly external investor reports
- Support annual financial statement audit processes
What you bring :
3+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on revenueExperience using NetSuite or StripeA Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets, levering these tools for advanced formulas and summarizing calculationsExperience designing, implementing and executing on internal controlsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail in identifying discrepanciesInnovative thinker with a passion for process improvement and automationIt’d be even cooler if you had :
