Foreman, Poultry Farm Worker

Business Address : 6811 Line 86, Elmira, ON N3B 2Z5 Title of position : Foreman, Chicken and Turkey Catching (NOC 8252) Salary : Hourly - $22.50hour for 40 hours per week OR piecework (whichever is greater).

Overtime offered.

Benefits : Health Spending Account Anticipated Start Date : As soon as possible Terms of Employment : Permanent Full Time Number of Positions : 6 Employment Conditions : Day, Night Job Requirements : Languages, English Education : Not required Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.) : Not required Experience : Previous experience in poultry supervision would be an asset; however, candidates with 12-24 months of current or recent poultry experience would be considered.

Type of Farm Operations : Poultry Chicken and Turkey catching Specific Skills : Duties include organizing and driving crews to the farm, setting up barns for poultry catching, detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry.

Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry.Operate and maintain poultry related machinery and equipment.

In the course of catching and loading, employee may be required to operate and maintain basic poultry related machinery and equipment (all non - licence requiring equipment).

Follow food safety and security and animal bio-security procedures and other poultry related tasks.

Clean and disinfect the work site, including poultry related equipment.

Removing equipment after the work is completed, and other poultry related tasks.

Supervisor expected to liaise directly with employees and employer, identify potential issues, select course of action, in coordination with the employer.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Fast-paced environment; Physically demanding; Hand-eye coordination; Bending; Crouching; Kneeling Transportation / Travel Information : Travel expenses paid by employer.

Company transportation van provided for work Worksite Environment : Noisy; Odours Work Location Information : Remote location; Various locations Essential Skills : Communication; Working with others Other Information : Job will require you to travel to other farm locations at employer's expense.

Job may require extensive travel on a daily basis within the Province / Region.
