The Flight Simulator Technician is a full-time, permanent position located in Southport, MB and reports to the Flight Simulator Supervisor. Their primary focus is to provide maintenance and engineering services to ensure continued operation of all on-site Flight Training Devices (FTD) equipment, and associated devices. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Conduct operational and maintenance routines as per manufacturer’s standards and Transport Canada guidelines required for certification of FTD equipment
• Respond to customers’ training needs in a courteous and timely manner in order to ensure that the required reliability and training levels are maintained
• Prepare and maintain required simulator documentation, records and reports
• Diagnose simulator malfunctions in a timely manner and flight test digital flight simulators and motion systems to ensure serviceability
• Modify digital flight simulators by making required hardware changes
• Adjust and repair simulator components and peripherals
• Report any safety hazards observed in work area, equipment, and / or building in a timely manner
