Overview

CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full‑time Chief Officer to join our vessel on a roster schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. Reporting to the Master, the Chief Officer is the head of the Deck Department.

The Chief Officer Will Be Responsible For

• Designated safety officer
• The safe and efficient planning of cargo and ballast handling operations
• Providing guidance and support to the Deck Officers including Deck Cadets
• Having comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance and repair needs of the deck and throughout the accommodation
• Assuming the Master’s responsibilities and command of the vessel in the absence of the Master

The Skills You Will Bring To Our Team

• AMSA Chief Officer COC/COR Unlimited (required)
• Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory)
• Technical Requirement: minimum 5 years sea time as a Watchkeeper Deck (mandatory)
• STCW regulation II/2
• MSIC Card (required)
• Australian Citizen or holder of a valid Australian working visa without working restrictions
• Living in an Australian state (required)
