First Truck Centre has an exciting opening for a Body Shop Painter in our Surrey location. Working on the front line with our customers, the Body Shop Painter will contribute in one of Canada's best managed companies.

Compensation :
- $ per hour (based on experience and certification level)
- Potential for First aid attendant premium, and driver's license premium.

Responsibilities :
- Performing repairs on all OEM Class 6,7, and 8 vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing of small body damages
- Prep and masking
- Paint complete units
- Responsible for tagging all failed parts and return cores
- Making warranty decisions
- Completing repair quality inspection reports
- Ensuring that all OHS and WCB compliance are in order
- Updating the Shop Foreman with any technical assistance if required
Skill Set :
- Professional level of detail and care on repairs to ensure quality repairs are completed.
- Proven history of maintaining a clean and organized workplace.
- Able to work independently with little supervision as well as collaborate easily with a team.
- Customer service focused to develop and maintain a base of loyal customers, responsible for all customer relations, and building long term partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
- Strong critical thinking skills to implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements :
- Journeyman Certification for Automotive Refinishing & having knowledge of Axalta paint products including water bourns and industrial
- 5+ years of experience in trucking, automotive, or related industry
- Class 5 driver's license
- Work a 4 x3 shifts
- Must be able to participate in and encourage a culture of continuous improvement
