Coordinator, Environmental Services (Student)
Defence Construction Canada is seeking a student coordinator for environmental services to support projects for the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence. The position is a 4‑month term, casual employment status, with an hourly pay range of $19.50‑$27.50 per hour (per Treasury Board guidelines).
Who can apply?
- Internal employees and external candidates.
- Must have at least 5 years of permanent residence in Canada.
- Eligibility to work in Canada; a valid driver’s licence and vehicle access preferred.
- Students enrolled in biology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field (minimum one year of post‑secondary study).
- Must meet the minimum age requirement to work in Quebec and be eligible for a Reliability security clearance.
What you will do
Coordinate and monitor environmental work for various projects to ensure compliance with legal requirements.Provide technical support on environmental matters for contract planning and management.Prepare environmental reports that meet client partner requirements.Update and verify environmental data in tables and tracking systems.Coordinate the exchange of environmental information related to projects and programs.Conduct research, compile data, and contribute to drafting technical documents.Support the team in meeting quality standards and deadlines.What we’re looking for
Strong critical thinking, writing, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.Immediate and independent work ability; good judgement, positive attitude, and flexible nature.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.Knowledge of Canadian environmental regulations and compliance frameworks is a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Additional information
