About the Team :

The Global Technologies Services team delivers leading-edge, cost-effective technology services and support. We operate globally, leveraging best practices and adhering to common standards and security measures. The Middleware group within GTS plays a crucial role in supporting firm activities worldwide.

About the Role :

The Middleware Administrator will be responsible for the administration and support of file transfer solutions within the Global Technologies Services environment. This role will primarily focus on IBM Sterling Suite products, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Administration & Support :

Manage and maintain IBM Sterling Suite products (Connect Enterprise, Connect Express, Connect Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy).

Provide expert-level support for file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, PeSIT, and Connect : Direct (C : D).

Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, providing production support for global systems.

Collaborate with other Middleware Administrators in Montreal, the US, and Paris to ensure seamless operations.

Operational Excellence :

Implement and maintain best practices, standards, and procedures for all file transfer activities.

Contribute to the development and implementation of automation solutions (e.g., API Factory) for provisioning and management of the file transfer platform.

Proactively identify and resolve performance issues and system bottlenecks.

Recommend and implement software and hardware upgrades to enhance system performance and reliability.

Client Engagement :

Provide technical guidance and support to internal clients (GTS, ITEC, etc.).

Advise clients on best practices for file transfer operations.

Process Improvement :

Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and procedures.

Contribute to the development and implementation of ITIL-aligned processes.

Required Skills :

Strong knowledge of file transfer technologies, including key exchange and basic networking concepts.

In-depth experience with IBM Sterling Suite products (Connect Enterprise, Connect Express, Connect Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy).

Proven expertise in Linux / Unix / Windows operating systems.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., shell, Python).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience with 24x7 on-call support environments.

Desired Skills :

Experience with Axway CFT.

Familiarity with ITIL processes.

Experience with automation tools and technologies.

Languages :

Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.

Fluency in French (both written and spoken) is preferred.

Fournir un soutien de niveau expert pour les protocoles de transfert de fichiers tels que FTP, SFTP, PeSIT et Connect : Direct (C : D).

Identifier et résoudre de manière proactive les problèmes de performances et les goulots d'étranglement du système.

Recommander et mettre en œuvre des mises à niveau logicielles et matérielles pour améliorer les performances et la fiabilité du système.

Engagement client :

Fournir des conseils et un soutien techniques aux clients internes (GTS, ITEC, etc.).

Conseiller les clients sur les meilleures pratiques pour les opérations de transfert de fichiers.

Amélioration des processus :

Évaluer et améliorer en permanence les processus et procédures opérationnels.

Contribuer au développement et à la mise en œuvre de processus alignés sur ITIL.

Compétences requises :

Connaissance approfondie des technologies de transfert de fichiers, y compris l'échange de clés et les concepts de base de la mise en réseau.

Expérience approfondie des produits IBM Sterling Suite (Connect Enterprise, Connect Express, Connect Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy).

Expertise avérée dans les systèmes d'exploitation Linux / Unix / Windows.

Maîtrise des langages de script (par exemple, shell, Python).

Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral.
