Your role and responsibilities

• System Installation and Configuration : Install, configure and upgrade SAP systems based on business requirements. This includes planning, coordinating and executing system upgrades and ensuring optimal performance and stability post‑implementation.
• Database Administration : Manage the HANA database, including backup and recovery procedures, database performance tuning and space administration.
• Security Management : Implement and maintain system security measures. This includes user administration, authorization management and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Technical Support : Provide first‑line and second‑line support for SAP systems. This involves troubleshooting issues, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions.
• Performance Monitoring : Regularly monitor system performance and conduct periodic health checks. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to ensure smooth operation.
• Project Support : Contribute to SAP implementation, enhancement and upgrade projects. This might involve working alongside consultants, business analysts and other IT staff.
• Documentation : Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation related to system administration, processes and procedures.
• Training and Mentoring : Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members, providing training and guidance where needed.
• Vendor Management : Liaise with SAP and hardware vendors as necessary, ensuring all vendor contracts are managed effectively.
• Stay Updated : Keep abreast of the latest SAP Basis and HANA technologies, best practices and industry trends.
