Job Title : AML & Compliance Specialist

Job Type : 1-year Contract (with potential for permanent conversion)

Location : Pickering

Work Model : Hybrid – 2 days / week onsite

Our financial services client is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable AML & Compliance Specialist to join their team on a 1-year contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent role. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s compliance with Canadian privacy legislation and AML / ATF regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance with federal and provincial privacy laws.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and advise on data protection strategies.
• Maintain and update privacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Respond to data access requests and support regulatory or customer inspections.
• Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and report to the CAMLO as required.
• Maintain and improve AML / ATF policies in line with legal and industry standards.
• Support customer identification, due diligence, and AML / ATF risk management.
• Collaborate with internal teams on compliance training and policy development.
