Job position : 306A Licensed Plumber
Shift type : Day shift (Mon – Friday 6am – 2pm)
Hourly : $40-$45 / hr
Location : Stratford, ON
Your responsibilities will be to :
Install, repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets and water heaters) in an Industrial structure
Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
Perform regular inspections of pipes and plumbing fixtures
Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used
Keep accurate inventory of required materials, ensuring stock of required material when needed
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron and copper.
Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion
Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met
Ensures that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety Systems are met.
Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of apprentice program with five years’ experience
Licensed plumber
Work Environment (including Physical Demands) :
Work indoors. Environment can be noisy and dealing with different temperatures
Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
Work at height
Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs
