Job descriptionExperience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset. Exceptional and professional customer service to our clients, and members of the care team, ensuring superb service at all times. Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and collaborate with the pharmacy team. Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) in good standing, is optional . Experienced Pharmacy Assistant with minimum 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy. Experience in the billing & third-party adjudication, ideal on Kroll, but not a must . Some knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is optional . Positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude. High attention to detail is essential. Highly organized with strong time management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to adapt to change & prioritize tasks as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Competitive pay with a comprehensive benefits package provided after 3 months of probation. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Process all refill prescriptions electronically requested and check IVR voicemail messages.
- Contact prescribers verbally or via fax for clarifications and various functions.
- Process invoices received from the wholesaler and print them to be ready once the order is received.
- Process weekly batching, printing hard copy reports, and new refill authorization.
- Enter new or changed prescriptions in blister packs.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist on duty to provide efficient dispensary and pharmacy services.
