Elementary LTO - Daily Assigned Substitute (DAS)
The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking applications for the
Daily Assigned Substitute (DAS) Long Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) at a number
of school locations within Simcoe County.
The DAS LTO aims to reduce the number
of unfilled teaching assignments at specific school locations.
Once data has been reviewed to determine which schools are having high number of unfilled teaching assignments, a DAS will be allocated. Started date January 2025.
As more locations are determined, DAS positions will be activated.
As a DAS LTO you will be compensated at the Long-Term Occasional
teacher rate of pay and will report to your assigned school on a daily basis
where you will be advised of your teaching assignment for the day.

1.0 FTE = 100% time or 5.0 days per week
0.9 FTE = 90% time or 4.5 days per week

0.6 FTE = 60% time or 3.0 days per week
0.5 FTE = 50% time or 2.5 days per week
0.4 FTE = 40% time or 2.0 days per week
0.3 FTE = 30% time or 1.5 days per week
0.2 FTE = 20% time or 1.0 day per week
0.1 FTE = 10% time or 0.5 days per week

R.R.O. 1990, REGULATION 298 - Operation of Schools
Section 20 - Duties of Teachers
20. In addition to the duties assigned to the teacher under the Act and by the board, a teacher shall,
l) perform duties as assigned by the principal in relation to co-operative placements of pupils; and
