THE CHALLENGE
Under the responsibility of the production supervisor, the Welder-Assembler must be capable of assembling and welding metal parts according to plans and specifications using factory processes. He must be able to read and understand assembly plans and master the required welding processes.
YOUR DAILY DAY
Ability to repeat workloads by standing and completing detailed tasks, which require concentration throughout the day.
Master welding techniques (GMAW, MCAW, FCAW, SMAW)
Know the safety rules in force, to ensure the protection of all people present near the welding station
Carry out assemblies and welds while following current standards (CSA, etc.)
Read and interpret welding plans or technical specifications
Check the welds during welding operations
Check the quality of welds and parts and correct problems if necessary
Transport the parts to the designated location using an overhead crane
Perform various lifting and handling maneuvers of parts
Maintain and regularly clean your tools, welding equipment and work space in order to maintain the quality of the equipment used
Carry out your various tasks with the parts such as cutting, polishing and / or bending parts when necessary
Solve work-related problems and eliminate errors of all kinds
Carry out manual drilling of certain parts
Respect the policies and procedures in place in the company
SKILLS – DESIRED ABILITIES
DEP in welding
Minimum of 2 years of experience
CWB Qualification Cards
Ability to read plans
Experience in Overhead Crane and / or Forklift operation.
Ability to measure with metric and imperial systems.
Organized, rigorous and able to meet deadlines.
