This role is responsible for ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently while leading a team of maintenance staff and contractors.   • Responsibilities :

  • Subcontractor Management :
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of subcontractors and their activities.

  • Ensure compliance with requirements such as security clearances, business licensing, GST, WCB, and liability insurance.
  • Conduct regular audits or site inspections to confirm that subcontractor work meets required standards.
  • Client Relations Management :
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing performance standards and complaints.

  • Contribute to the growth of existing client accounts by offering additional services or solutions.
  • Support new growth initiatives, including assisting with bids and proposals.
  • Expense Management :
  • Oversee or coordinate necessary equipment repairs.

  • Ensure subcontractor hours remain within budgetary constraints
  • Qualifications :

  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Management experience in a fast-paced environment with a diverse workforce.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software for reporting, trends, and results.
  • Experience in change management and creating programs to enhance client offerings.
  • Ability to travel as needed and manage urgent operational issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address both positive and negative trends.
  • Experience in janitorial services, particularly within the grocery industry (stripping, waxing, scheduling).
  • Professional approach to both clients and workforce, with the ability to address concerns diplomatically.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and increase sales.
  • High emotional intelligence.
  • High school diploma or GED.
