KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Community Services Department is currently looking for students to work in our Facilities Division as Parks Labourers this summer. Applicants must enjoy working outside and must be available for a variety of working hours. Duties includes, lawn care, gardening, garbage pick-up, public washroom monitoring, painting, minor repairs and other general labour duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence. You will have to provide a copy of this.

Intermediate First Aid and CPR is required.

Experience with equipment, trailers, lawn mowers, gardening considered an asset.

Please include any labouring experience you may have, either at a workplace, or around your home.

A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required prior to commencing work

  • Proof of current acceptance or enrolment in full-time post-secondary studies will be required to be shown at time of offer.

HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY :

Rate of Pay : $27.45 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

Anticipated Start Date : May 5, 2025

Hours of work : 40 Hours per week. 8 hour days, 5 days a week. Shifts can start as early as 5am and some shifts may be on weekends.
