Job description

Our high-profile client is seeking to hire a QA Lead to join their talented team on a six -month contract with a strong probability of extension. Responsibilities

Create test strategies and guidelines for QA team.

Key contributor to test tools and lead implementation of tools to team.

Implement process improvements in testing and SDLC lifecycle.

Assemble end-to-end test plans in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

Facilitate reviews, checkpoints and stage-gates with stakeholder and SME groups.

Coordinate environment and data readiness plans for end-to-end testing.

Works with application owners in securing resources required to perform test verification activities.

Understands internal and external project dependencies and actively manages associated risks.

Actively monitors and manages defects / issues and drives defects prioritization with business.

Set-up and drive triage / swat teams to resolve blocking issues and / or risks.

Communicates testing status, upcoming milestones, resource issues, etc to stakeholders.

Champions best practices of software testing processes and procedures.

Performs manual or automated testing as required Testing automation experience with tools like Selinium / Playwright etc

Qualifications

Education and / or strong work experience in Information Technology or a related field.

Possess expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cycles.

Proven experience with enterprise systems / application testing (both manual and automated).

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

6+ years as QA Analyst or SDET; 8+ years in IT.

Demonstrated experience of technology tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Sharepoint, etc.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is necessary.

Experience with cloud technologies is essential.

Experience in a retail environment is preferred.
