Our Board services a student population of approximately 17,000 students in three geographic regions, namely, Muskoka, Haliburton and Kawartha Lakes.Reporting directly to the Superintendent(s) responsible for Special Education (or designate), you will promote student achievement, equity and well-being, through consultation and by administering psycho-educational assessments to children and youth. The successful applicant will work with elementary and secondary schools to administer appropriate psychoeducational assessments, including but not limited to assessments of cognitive ability, academic achievement, social-emotional and adaptive skills. The successful applicant will also provide follow-up services from assessment recommendations including capacity building with staff.Psycho-educational consultants in TLDSB are expected to adhere to professional standards of practice in keeping with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), privacy legislation and other requisite statutes to ensure the quality of our services. Clinical supervision and oversight will be provided by a clinician registered as an autonomously practicing Psychologist or Psychological Associate with the CPO. Travel throughout the TLDSB area will be required. Location : Muskoka Education Centre, Haliburton Education Centre or Lindsay Education Centre Term : This is a 1 year temporary term appointment, starting September 1, 2023 and ending no later than June 30, 2024.
