Job description
Duties
will include but are not limited to : answer and process incoming calls; prepare necessary forms and relay to dispatcher for action; provide information and assistance to the public both on the telephone and at the reception area; type / prepare documents, correspondence as required; provide typing services for general duty and traffic personnel; file and maintain records; operate the CPIC machine; perform radio dispatch duties as required.
Education : Post secondary education in commercial courses or an acceptable combination of training and experience. Skills : Able to operate switchboard; able to operate a variety of standard office equipment related to police work; able to operate radio equipment and perform dispatching duties; able to type accurately and rapidly; good knowledge of business English, switchboard duties, and basic arithmetic; must be able to qualify for and maintain the required security clearance. Salary : $30.71 (2024 Rate)
