Your Role

The person in this role will be responsible for identifying and pursuing potential clients, securing new business partnerships, and driving revenue growth through business development. While managing some existing client relationships may be part of the role, the primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities in the commercial and industrial sectors, with a special emphasis on the military, defense, security, and public safety markets.

Your Responsibilities

Acquiring new accounts (75%)

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive new customer acquisition strategy, including prospecting, lead generation, and sales pipeline management
  • Develop new distributors, end-users, or direct OEM’s engaged in the purchase, sale and / or promotion of Nanuk Brands and Solutions
  • Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities in the [target market / industry].
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers and emerging trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within potential client organizations
  • Prepare and present compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients
  • Negotiate and conclude agreements, ensuring that they are mutually beneficial
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to new account acquisition
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Manage relationships with existing customers (25%)

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Proactively identify and respond to customer needs and concerns
  • Participate in the development of solutions and strategies to meet client needs
  • Perform all other related tasks.
  • Your profile :

  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with internal and external client
  • Bachelor's degree or any other relevant certifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
  • Experience with government tenders and tender commissions
  • Proven track record in creating new accounts and sustainable revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of the military and public safety industry and its key players
  • Experience working with CRM software (HubSpot)
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to travel and participate in special events as needed
  • Well organized, self-disciplined, and strong work-ethic
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
