Location : Various locations across Nova Scotia

The IT Specialist / Database Manager oversees the organization s technology infrastructure and database systems. This role ensures the security efficiency and reliability of IT systems to support the organization s operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and maintain IT systems networks and databases.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide IT support to staff.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
Monitor database performance and perform regular updates and backups.
Train staff on the use of IT systems and software.
Research and recommend technology upgrades or improvements.
Collaborate with external vendors for ITrelated services.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in information technology computer science or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or database management.

Strong understanding of database systems and IT infrastructure.

Proficiency in software and tools relevant to nonprofit operations.

Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
