Unit Summary
Nutrition Services is responsible for food production and patient food services for all sites.
Position Summary
The food handler is a member of the patient food services team. Duties include : the preparation and assembling of meal trays following established guidelines; ware washing responsibilities; and maintaining and ordering inventory for the food galley. The position involves repetitive motions.
Schedule Work HoursDays, evenings, weekends, holidays.
Qualifications
1. Ability to bend, lift and push.
2. Ability to read, write and understand English.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal amount of Supervision.
4. Ability to effectively communicate with several different areas including Nutrition Services, unit staff and Supervisors.
5. Ability to function in a team environment.
6. Good decision-making skills.
7. Graduate of or enrolment in a certified Food Services Program preferred.
