Job description

We are looking for a team-oriented Software Engineer to join our Innovative ETC R&D Squamish team with the focus to work collaboratively with R&D in ETC's Middleton location, developing the next generation lineup of IoT-based commercial building controls systems.

Our ideal candidate has experience in low level programming and / or embedded firmware and working knowledge of software development in Real Time Operating Systems (e.g. Zephyr RTOS) as well as knowledge of embedded system security. If have experience with Open Thread decentralized mesh networks, CoAP, Zephyr, and Linux, would be preferred. The ability to read schematics would be a plus.

This position will work ONSITE at our Squamish office.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Assumes design responsibility. including making design modifications or improvements to existing and special projects.
  • Analyzes project problems to determine probable cause and potential solutions, including investigative work pertinent to designs.
  • Involved in the compilation of project schedules, specifications, test plans, equipment purchases, and release of related documentation
  • Departmental process and quality programs.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree
  • All levels of previous work experience will be considered
