POSITION : Junior School Teacher - temporary
ASSIGNMENT : English, Social Studies, Career Education Gr 8-9. This position has a grade 8-9 Humanities focus (teaching English, Social Studies and Career Education in Grade 8) There will be opportunities to work collaboratively within the POD structure. There is also a student support block as part of this assignment.
FTE : 1.0
LOCATION : Quesnel Junior School
EFFECTIVE DATES : Commencing February 13, 2025 until April 25, 2025, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent
Basic Qualifications : A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following :
Training Specialization :
- Secondary Education with major / minor in English
- Secondary Education with major / minor in Social Studies
Related Teaching Experience : Recent successful experience teaching at the junior school level
A Reasonable Expectation : based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
