Beem Credit Union is seeking a VP, Infrastructure and Operations who is accountable for strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of infrastructure and operations management. If you're passionate about ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure while driving operational excellence to support the organization's growth and strategic objectives, we want to hear from you! What you’ll do :

Strategic Planning and Execution :

  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking infrastructure strategy that aligns with our long-term business objectives and fuels innovation across the organization.
  • Drive transformative initiatives that capitalize on emerging technologies, such as AI, automation, and edge computing, to revolutionize our infrastructure landscape.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to optimize infrastructure efficiency, enhance operational resilience, and support business continuity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate infrastructure strategy with overall organizational strategy.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of infrastructure strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular strategic reviews to evaluate the impact of infrastructure initiatives on business outcomes.
  • Leverage data analytics and business intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Establish governance structures to ensure alignment between technology investments and business priorities.
  • Monitor industry benchmarks and benchmarks to assess the competitiveness of our infrastructure strategy.

Technology Innovation and Transformation :

  • Lead the charge in identifying and adopting disruptive technologies that have the potential to redefine how we manage and operate our infrastructure at scale.
  • Spearhead digital transformation efforts aimed at modernizing legacy systems, enhancing agility, and unlocking new opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage in infrastructure management.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on our infrastructure landscape.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses to justify investments in new and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning by providing employees with opportunities for skill development and experimentation.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and research institutions to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-industry collaboration and knowledge sharing to accelerate innovation and transformation.
  • Infrastructure Architecture and Design :

  • Define and oversee the architecture and design of our enterprise infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Lead the establishment of architectural standards, patterns, and practices that promote consistency, reliability, and adaptability across our infrastructure landscape.
  • Oversee regular architecture reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Champion the implementation of design principles that prioritize modularity, scalability, and interoperability.
  • Implement a governance framework to ensure compliance with architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and solution architects to ensure alignment with overall IT architecture.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage cloud-native architectures and microservices to enhance agility and scalability.
  • Establish processes for capturing and managing architectural decisions and documentation.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Establish and maintain robust operational processes and procedures to optimize resource utilization, minimize downtime, and mitigate risks.
  • Implement performance monitoring and analytics tools to proactively identify and address infrastructure issues and bottlenecks.
  • Implement a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and process reviews.
  • Oversee development of a knowledge management system to capture and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Invest in automation and self-service capabilities to streamline routine operational tasks.
  • Oversee the development of playbooks and runbooks to standardize operational procedures and workflows.
  • Maturing IT Service Management (ITSM) :

  • Lead the evolution and maturation of our IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities to enhance service delivery, improve incident response times, and elevate the overall customer experience.
  • Implement industry best practices, such as ITIL, to standardize service management processes, streamline service desk operations, and drive continuous service improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of service catalog and service level management process to improve transparency and accountability.
  • Security and Compliance :

  • Drive and instill security culture
  • Oversee solutions to address security and meet compliance finding
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to infrastructure security and data privacy.
  • Strategic Partnerships and Vendor Management.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with Infrastructure & Operation technology vendors , service providers, and industry peers to stay ahead of the curve and leverage external expertise.
  • Drive collaborative engagements that yield innovative solutions, enhance service delivery, and drive mutual value creation.
  • Talent Development and Leadership :

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of infrastructure and operations professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • A little about your qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in developing and executing infrastructure strategies that align with business objectives and foster innovation.

  • Strong business acumen, strategic vision, and the ability to translate technology trends into actionable insights that drive business value.
  • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft cloud platform, including Office , Azure, and other associated services and products in Microsoft's cloud ecosystem to drive innovation, scalability, and efficiency within the organization's infrastructure and operations.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and practices, with a demonstrated ability to drive agility and responsiveness in infrastructure operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and strategic partnerships, with a focus on driving value and innovation.
