Job descriptionPreparing, reviewing and editing a wide range of legal documents and correspondence of a confidential nature, and ensuring high quality, accuracy and comprehensiveness; Assisting with the preparation and filing of court documents; Establishing and maintaining a current calendar of events and a deadline reminder system as well as reviewing court diary systems; Preparing and maintaining client corporate records including record books and assisting in management of key clients; Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness coordination, and preparing legal briefs; Conduct due diligence reviews and assist with compliance matters; and Liaise with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals as needed. Successful completion of an Office Administration program with a focus of Legal Assistant or Paralegal; 3 to 5 years’ experience working as a Paralegal. Previous Experience in Corporate Commercial, or Litigation is considered an asset; Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines; Strong organizational skills, willing to take initiative, and ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment; and An understanding of the importance of client relationships.

We are seeking a an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our St. John’s office who will provide support to our lawyers throughout the Atlantic Region in corporate and commercial law matters, as well as in commercial litigation cases. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a keen attention to detail.
