Job description

We are looking for a machine builder to join a busy manufacturing facility located in Elmira.

This is a manufacturing plant, where you will be responsible for building machines and then be part of the installation team that goes onsite (local work only).

Role : Machine Builder with a MILLWRIGHT ticket (433a)

Shift : Days - Monday to Friday 8am to 4 : 30pm

Location : Elmira

Payrate : $42+ / hour

Benefits, vacation and RRSP match

OT paid after 40 hours

  • Please note, in order to be considered for this role you must have prior experience working as a machine builder and must hold a valid millwright license with at least 3-5years of experience in a similar role

MTBI (machine tool builder integrator and welding experience (MIG) will be an asset

  • Responsibilities

    In this role you will be :

  • interpreting blueprints and assembling machines from those prints
  • using a variety of fabrication equipment to fit components, performing welding
  • performing quality checks, training operators on how to run the machines
  • working in a highly team oriented atmosphere
  • mentoring apprentices
  • working within tight deadlines
  • travelling within North America
  • Qualifications

  • licensed Millwright with machine builder experience (433A)
  • machine-tool builder and integrator certificate is an asset (MTBI)
  • previous experience building weld cells
  • able to assemble welding fixtures from blueprints with minimal supervision
  • ability to rebuild, assemble and disassemble equipment
  • ability to travel both locally and out of country per project requirements
  • valid driver’s license
  • experience working within an automotive manufacturing environment is an asset
  • strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • strong communication and customer service skills
