We are seeking an  Experienced Web and Graphic Designer / Developer  to join our team as a full-time employee! We want someone able to deliver best-in-class designs with an expert eye for aesthetics and UI / UX design and a strong working knowledge of WordPress & CSS.

This is a Full-time remote position but you MUST reside in the greater Edmonton area and :

• Have expert knowledge in WordPress and various theme builders such as Avada, Divi, Elementor, etc.
• Have a solid understanding of SEO best practices and implementation
• Be able to interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
• Have experience designing, developing, and implementing business functionality into web-based solutions
• Exceed customer expectations with killer-looking, flawlessly functioning mobile responsive websites and custom web apps
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Collaborate with customers and the Digital Tea team to manage your time across multiple projects in an environment that expects a high level of quality for the business and its clientele
• Can provide quick turnaround time on simple requests (48hrs)
• Participate in planning and design meetings, website infrastructure and architecture discussions, retrospectives and other required activities
• Review and analyze specifications and design documents to determine project requirements
• Have an expert working knowledge of the Adobe design suite.
• Be a creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with innovative solutions to web design challenges
• React to shifting priorities in a productive manner with a client services focus - the client is always #1!

You will also need to :

Participate in discussions and meetings with clients and team members about best practices and help teams identify optimal solutions

Actively engage with existing company community initiatives and maybe initiate a few of your own!

The main requirements are as follows :

EXPERIENCE :   8+ years of experience in website design mandatory

EXPERTISE :   Advanced proficiency in WordPress, HTML5, CSS, and a working understanding of PHP, and JavaScript.

Proven understanding of desktop and mobile UI / UX best practices.

A solid understanding of Search Engine Optimization requirements and best practices.

Experience designing web and native OS apps

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools eg. git

Knowledge of unit testing and best practices

High Proficiency in print and digital graphic design

Degree / Diploma in a related field

High proficiency in the English language

Additional Assets :

Modern custom web development experience (portfolio required – no templates)

Graphic design experience (portfolio required)

This is a Full-Time remote position, but you must reside in the greater Edmonton area and be able to meet in person when required.
