Corrections Officer & Juvenile Counsellor Training Program - The Pas Region

Launch a career in justice with the Correctional Officer & Juvenile Counsellor Training Program through Manitoba Justice in partnership with The Pas Métis Employment & Training (MET) .
This free, 8-week program trains Red River Métis Citizens with the essential skills and certifications needed for meaningful work in corrections. Eligible participants may receive up to $2,800 in stipend support during training.

Program Highlights :
- Pay Range : $31.62 - $40.65 / hour (upon successful hire)
- Duration : 8 weeks, full-time (Monday-Friday)
- Location : The Pas Correctional Centre
- Includes : Correctional procedures, conflict resolution, cultural awareness, CPR / First Aid, and more
- Stipend : Up to $2,800 available for eligible participants
- Red River Métis Citizen, age 18+, from The Pas Region
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Physically and mentally prepared to work in a demanding environment
- Commitment to an employment and training plan
