Job Summary
The Team
Join our Kamloops Community Corrections team and be part of a supportive, well-established group dedicated to making a meaningful impactin public safety, reducing crime, and supporting positive change for clients. As part of our administration support team, you'll work alongside fifteen probation officers, a local manager, an office manager, and one other admin professional, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You'll be the first point of contact for clients and collaborate with justice partners like police, Crown Counsel, and the courts. We value strong communication, teamwork, and shared goals, fostering an inclusive environment where every voice matters and ideas are welcomed.
The Role
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for adult clients under community supervision, providing welcoming and respectful reception services. Under the guidance of the Office Manager of Community Corrections, you'll play a key role in managing electronic court documents, maintaining client records, and supporting probation officers as they respond to client needs. Your work directly contributes to community safety and engagement, helping to create a more secure and supportive environment for everyone.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary School graduation and six (6) months of related experience working in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist or administrative support role;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Minimum keyboard speed of 30 words per minute.

About this Position :
This position is based in Kamloopswith on-site requirements.
This is a temporary part-time opportunity until October 9, 2026. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary opportunity.
An eligibility list may be established for future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) and Enhanced Security Screening (ESS) will be required.
Additionally, successful candidates must submit to and successfully pass fingerprint screening by RCMP or municipal police and JUSTIN and CORNET provincial database checks.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
