Job Description
The Engineer, Production Engineering, Design for Manufacture will develop design rules, interim products, standard norms and manufacturing instructions as part of the Production Engineering Team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Design for Manufacture- Team Lead, the main scope of work for this role will include the following :
- Develop design rules to communicate ISI Shipbuilding Manufacturing requirements to its design agent.
- Support development of interim products to enable attribution and categorization of parts and assemblies.
- Complete time studies and data analysis investigations to develop and refine standardized norms to enable accurate planning of construction work.
- Investigate through production, training, engineering, and review of technical information to write visual & concise Manufacturing Instructions that maintain design intent and advocate safety first and right first-time principles.
Qualifications
Recognized Degree in Engineering - Example, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or similar
4-8 years' experience in a complex industrial and manufacturing environment
