Job descriptionA Minimum of 3 years of related experience is required Experience leading / managing a team of 2-3 surveyors Mining / Industrial experience is essential Knowledge and experience working with RTK GPS equipment and surveying software Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.), GIS programs (ArcGIS); experience with 3D mine modeling software is an asset (AutoCAD, Deswik) Must have past demonstrated experience in helping build a strong safety culture, as well as awareness of, and adherence to, all required health and safety best practices Must be able to work a rotational schedule in a remote mining camp 40.00 - $48.00 hourly This is a site-based camp job 15 days on / 13 days off rotation Contract duration : June - Oct 2024
Responsibilities :
- Act as the main point of contact for all survey activities
- Interpreting 3D Drawings for field control and convey engineering drawing details to Operations and Project teams
- Perform topographical surveys
- As-built active mining and development areas
- Maintain as-built maps accurate record keeping
- Assist Geology with material type identification (PAG / NAG, Ore / Waste) and staking in field
- Survey underground utilities as required and maintain an accurate infrastructure as-built map and conduct aerial drone survey of the mine site
- Lead a team of 2-3 surveyors
