Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with proven expertise in Cybersecurity projects to join our client, an established employer in Canada.

This role will oversee complex projects aimed at enhancing cybersecurity posture, mitigating cyber risks, and ensuring secure digital transformation in a multi-stakeholder environment.

This is an 18-month contract to start, hybrid in Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the execution of cybersecurity and resilience projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Oversee project planning, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement while adhering to best practice methodologies.
Work closely with senior leadership, technical teams, and vendors to drive cybersecurity initiatives forward.
Manage program governance, steering committees, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
Provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity frameworks, risk mitigation, and compliance with industry standards.
Drive organizational change by ensuring effective communication, training, and user adoption of security initiatives.

What You Bring :

8+ years of project management experience leading large-scale cybersecurity initiatives.

5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and risk management.

Proven track record of delivering multi-million-dollar IT security projects with cross-functional teams.

Strong background in stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and governance frameworks.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive consensus and decision-making.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required

Experience with cybersecurity regulations, compliance standards, and enterprise security best practices.

This is a great opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping cybersecurity strategy and building a resilient IT environment at a mature organisation.
