We are looking for a licensed industrial electrician with at least 2 years of underground experience for an exciting opportunity on an active producing mine site.
Mine Electricians are responsible for electrical construction and maintenance of the mining operation, camp complex, and all relevant equipment and systems. They will ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations, perform preventative & predictive maintenance according to schedule, respond to breakdowns and execute repairs or replace equipment as required.
Due to the location of the mine, you must be able to drive to site, so we are seeking candidates within a max 10-12 hour driving distance to the camp. The schedule is 7 on / 7 off working 12 hour shifts offering highly competitive compensation ($45-$50 per hour) plus underground bonus. Excellent benefits package included and a unique travel exemption tax credit for qualified individuals.
All accommodations and meals are provided while you are on site.
Requirements :
- Valid Red Seal Electrical Ticket (442A or 309A)
- Experience in mining and industrial maintenance preferred
- Minimum 2 plus years of relevant underground mine and maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting and working with underground equipment
- Ability to travel to and from site via car
- Successful candidates must consent to and pass all pre-employment checks
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
