Location :   Various locations across New Brunswick

The IT Specialist / Database Manager oversees the organization’s technology infrastructure and database systems. This role ensures the security, efficiency, and reliability of IT systems to support the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and maintain IT systems, networks, and databases.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide IT support to staff.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
  • Monitor database performance and perform regular updates and backups.
  • Train staff on the use of IT systems and software.
  • Research and recommend technology upgrades or improvements.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for IT-related services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or database management.
  • Strong understanding of database systems and IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in software and tools relevant to nonprofit operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
