About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership skills, full-cycle accounting expertise, and experience in a manufacturing environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, team leadership, and operational support, contributing to both day-to-day execution and support strategic decision-making. As our Senior Accountant you will :

  • Lead and mentor the finance team promoting our culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Controller with critical financial planning and execution of projects.
  • Participate in and complete full-cycle accounting and month-end processes, including accruals, reconciliations, tax compliance, audit preparation, and consolidated financial reporting packages.
  • Manage the period-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including variance analysis and budgeting support.
  • Actively contribute to financial reporting and support operations and initiatives as assigned.
  • Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations as they relate to financials : product costings, inventory, scrap, variances, and commission reconciliation and reporting.
  • Look for opportunities to streamlining processes and optimizing day-to-day tasks for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead the audit process.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure financial alignment with business goals.
  • Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and financial systems.

  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation an asset).
  • Minimum 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
