Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a PIM Specialist / Digital Merchandiser to place at our client, within Enterprise Client.
Location : Remote.
Duration : 6 Months contract to start

POSITION OVERVIEW
To accelerate our growth, we’re searching for a team player to join the Ecommerce Team for a six month contract. In this role, the Product Information Management (PIM) Technician will be primarily responsible for the preparation and configuration of the Akeneo PIM System to serve multiple channels of online properties.
Using a working knowledge of HVAC Equipment, Parts, and related Products, Design and setup Categories, and attributes, spanning multiple countries and languages. Ensuring consideration for UX, search, and business needs are met using a keen sense of business acumen. Working in collaboration with a large project team focused on delivering a robust PIM system that meets the strategic business goal of supporting mass content entry from multiple sources simultaneously.
Position is remote with ability to work at Vaughan Distribution Centre minimum 1 day per month required.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES of CONTRACT
- Self-guided assessment of PIM state of configuration

- Audit the PIM system to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
- Review purpose and refine the design of all attributes for global use
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SME’s) for consulting support on category attribution needs.
- Setup product categories to match set taxonomy
- Audit category product lists to manage quantity to set thresholds and recommend changes as needed
- Setup and configure all families needed (~100)
- Assign attributes and set required
- Plan category product filters
- Assign skus to families
- Setup Vendor accounts for the Vendor portal tool in the PIM (training provided)
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on product information management best practices
- Manage relationships with internal partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product usage and attribute information to support decision making with regard to PIM configuration
