At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Manager to support our Ambulatory Care team. Job Outline : Reporting to the Senior Director of the assigned clinical service, the Clinical Manager will drive leading-edge strategies and innovation within our Ambulatory Care Services for rehabilitative care, specialty clinics and central therapy. This dynamic leader will play a key role on the Sinai Health leadership team by fostering a supportive learning environment and leading a skilled interprofessional team. The ideal candidate is a health care leader who has taken on progressive leadership roles within their career, participates in academic activities, and has a passion for lifelong learning. They will be responsible for the assigned portfolio's operational excellence, ensuring high-quality care for patients and families that aligns with Sinai Health's vision, mission, and values. In this role you will : Act as a visible and visionary leader and manager for Ambulatory Care, Clinics and Central Therapy Work with program operational, clinical and medical leads and patients and essential care partners to establish goals, priorities and objectives for the delivery of care and services for target populations and strategies for growth Maintain strong linkages to external community agencies, academic and acute care partners to benchmark and develop best in class patient care, research and academic advancement; identifies and capitalizes on emerging trends and opportunities Monitor quality, performance and financial indicators and targets and manages processes that support continuous quality improvement, patient safety and risk management objectives Apply quality improvement and risk management approaches through regular monitoring of patient and staff health and safety concerns Collaborate with Human Resources in staff recruitment processes, including interviews and candidate selection and coordination of their orientation Manage employee and labour relations issues in accordance with corporate policy, collective agreements and best practices Manage clinical professional practice within college and professional registration requirements and standards Promptly investigate and follows up on employee health and safety concerns, adhering to health and safety legislation Define and maintain clear lines of communication with all members of the health care team, other departments within the organization, community groups and professional organizations Liaise with internal and external experts to access resources for implementing best practices and integrated academic program planning Education & Qualifications : Mandatory Baccalaureate degree with a Health Science focus Master’s degree in nursing, health or business administration, or health disciplines required. Current registration with a professional college under the Regulated Health Professions Act Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a health care environment Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may also be considered Preferred Leadership experience in an outpatient clinic and in a unionized environment Proficiency in electronic scheduling, account management syste ms and day clinic management Skills and Knowledge Skills in managing people and Human Resource processes Demonstrated compassionate care and understanding of the rehabilitation / complex continuing care journey Strong mentorship, facilitation, team building and continuous quality improvement skills Knowledge of health care disciplines in clinical services and their scopes of practice Employment at Sinai Health is conditional upon the verification of credentials, completion of a health review, and demonstrating proof of immunity and vaccination status of vaccine-preventable diseases.
