Job description

Job Description :

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of oneself and farm labourers
  • Monitor and follow processes and procedures relating to maximizing crop production yield and minimizing production expenses
  • Supervise and operate equipment and machinery as directed, including monitoring settings, verifying equipment is working as intended (ex. hoses, nozzles, etc.)
  • Tracking & reporting progress as directed, maintaining all government-mandated and Coutts Agro Ltd. required logbooks and in-field progress
  • Follow directions closely (ex. mixing chemical product, unloading bins, etc.). If you are unsure of something, ask.
  • Inspect equipment and trucks daily and periodically throughout operation
  • Communicate information such as pests noticed, equipment requiring maintenance, etc.
  • Load and unload trucks as necessary; ensure all loads are properly secured
  • Keep shop, yard, and equipment clean
  • Supervise and participate in performing all basic maintenance on a daily & ongoing basis to ensure equipment is operating safely & efficiently. Document maintenance as directed.
  • Communicate and coordinate equipment requiring more significant maintenance or repair; assist with completing repairs as directed
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Assist other team members when needed
  • Maintaining record of time worked by clocking in / out of time system appropriately
  • Refrain from non-work-related cell phone usage while at work
  • Refrain from posting Coutts Agro related photos or information on social media
  • Act as a positive representative for Coutts Agro Ltd. in the community
  • General farm duties, as directed by supervisor
  • Ensure farm safety, security and bio-security procedures are followed

Job Requirements :

Over 5 years farm management experience
