Critical Environment Data Center Technician

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Critical Environment Data Center Technician with 4+ year experience in a similar role, with capabilities in supporting mechanical / electrical, and supporting water systems, generators and power supply equipment to place at our client, a Big Five Tech Giant. We have personally qualified the requirement with the hiring manager.

Client : Big Five Tech Giant, a multinational technology corporation

Terms : 4 month contract, possible extension

Location : Quebec, On Site

Responsibilities :

• Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems (generators, PDUs, CRAC units, etc.).
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents and emergencies.
• Use telemetry and monitoring tools to track system performance and detect anomalies.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Support audits and inspections related to data center operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and work non-standard hours as needed.
