Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft BI Developer with over 7 years of IT experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and Autosys, with a strong understanding of database fundamentals and advanced SQL concepts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing ETL processes to support our data-driven decision-making in the finance industry.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $110k - $125k / year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries for data retrieval and processing, adhering to best practices for performance.
- Utilize SSRS and other reporting tools to create and maintain reports that meet stakeholders' requirements.
- Manage job scheduling and monitor workflows using Autosys to ensure timely execution of data processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Handle unexpected changes in project scope and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and reporting solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, and provide recommendations for technology improvements.
