Job Summary

The Apprentice Auto Body Technician / Dismantle Technician assists in the repair and restoration of vehicles damaged by collision, wear or corrosion. This role primarily involves the safe and organized dismantling of vehicles for repair, identifying damaged parts, and preparing them for reassembly. The apprentice will support senior technicians and gain hands-on experience in autobody repair practices in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Dismantle the vehicle in preparation for repair, noting damaged components and systems.
• Tag and store parts for reassembly in an organized and efficient manner.
• Assist in autobody repair tasks such as sanding, masking, prepping panels, and minor bodywork under supervision.
• Clean and maintain the work area and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures.
• Communicate effectively with estimators and technicians regarding vehicle condition and repair requirements.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical skills and knowledge in collision repair.
