THE ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned trademark agent to assume a self-directed role. This is a client facing role that requires the ability to communicate professionally and exercise judgement and decision making. Of paramount importance is English language communication, conscientiousness, attention to detail, and understanding of the importance of deadlines. The role offers a variety of different daily work experiences and can be performed remotely with a flexible schedule.

Some of the responsibilities of this role include the following :

• Assisting with and overseeing trademark filings before CIPO, USPTO, and WIPO.
• Responding to both foreign and domestic Office Actions.
• Corresponding with clients, foreign associates, and patent offices.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining successful client relationships.
• Attending client intake meetings to identify appropriate classes and descriptions of goods and services.
• Performing trademark searches and preparing registrability opinions.
• Drafting trademark applications for foreign and domestic filings.
