Job descriptionPost-secondary education in a relevant professional discipline (i.e. Human Resources, Business Administration, or Finance) or an equivalent combination of educational and work experience. Previous work experience conducting job evaluations and market analysis for compensation is required. Previous work experience in a total rewards or compensation role at the specialist, consultant, and / or senior level is preferred. CHRP / CHRL and CCP designations are assets. Compensation Specialist 90-105K base + DB Pension Plan - hybrid
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced total rewards professional to work within an organization that strives to build a “world of possibility” every day. Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards & HRIS, you will work with a variety of departments to shape and maintain the Total Rewards Program. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and be the first point of contact for salary administration, job evaluation, and compensation enquiries.
Responsibilities :
- Act as SME in the analysis, advice, and implementation of total rewards programs.
- Lead and support ad-hoc, complex projects related to Total Rewards programs.
- Assist in the review and revision of policies related to total rewards and systems and their interpretation.
- Participate in process improvements and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Lead full cycle annual salary increases for different categories of employees including market analysis, determining increase eligibility, data validation, calculation, documentation of salary administration guidelines and communication.
- Conduct market analysis to ensure market competitiveness. Analyze survey data, identify gaps, make recommendations, cost modelling and implement approved changes.
- Resolve compensation / structure-related issues or discrepancies as appropriate.
- Maintain salary grid structure and ensure information is shared with the Talent Acquisition and Engagement Team.
- Evaluate jobs, outline potential cost impact and address any job evaluation questions from leaders / employees.
